WordPress website security should be a priority for business owners. All websites are prone to security risks, and the server your site is hosted on may present your most serious security risk. Very few web hosting companies have their own technologies, the resources available to handle the evolution in today’s attacks and are unable to keep up with the various infections affecting website owners like you.
Web servers open a window between your website and the worldwide web. Server maintenance, web application updates, plugin updates and the site coding will define the size of that window. It will limit the type of information that passes through and establishes the degree of security you have for your website.
However, there are precautions you can take to help prevent your website from being hacked.
Making sure your website is mobile-friendly (also known as responsive or adaptive) is now more important than ever. Mobile-friendly websites will rank higher in Google search. We have been talking about mobile marketing for years, and now Google has made it official.
Google announced that they will be making changes to their search algorithm starting on April 21, 2015. Google’s mobile ranking will label mobile-friendly websites and will place them higher in search results. Google said, “users will find it easier to get relevant, high-quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”
We are often asked when is the best day and best time to post on social media pages. J. Murray & Associates created a social media infographic that explains our favorite social channels – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Pinterest. And don’t forget to add #hashtags to your posts. Hashtags are keywords that search engines and your followers are looking for to find a particular product or service.

Traditional marketing practices are still used by many manufacturing companies today. However, in recent years manufacturers are thirsting for a digital presence.
We’ve all heard the term, “There’s an app for that.” Turn on the news and they’re reporting on tweets about a current event. And everyone has heard, “Just Google it.”
There are several digital marketing channels that can be used for manufacturing companies. But before you begin, you have to know your target audience.
Let’s assume your manufacturing company has a website (if you don’t, you should hire a web design company). How will prospective customers find your website- from your business card, catalog or a trade magazine? Many of the prospects will search on Google (Google receives 12 million searches monthly). But, how do they search for your company? If your website is not search engine optimized, chances are your site will not be found.
